Since the mid 90’s I have been excited to be involved as musical
director and creative team player in many kids’ theater
projects. Storylines for these plays have included California
history (California, Here We Come!), environmental
concerns (Dr. Suess’ The Lorax) and scripted folktales
from around the globe: China, India, Russia and Africa and more.
This work has been incredibly rewarding, and I have learned
along with the students how important our care and creativity is
for living a rich life. I look forward to future
collaborations in musical theater!

Kreative Kids Theater is a unique introduction to musical theater for
children ages 5-9 offered several times each year under the
umbrella of the Santa Cruz County Parks Department. In a
supportive and playful small group, students develop
confidence and stage presence while learning lines and lyrics. Focus
is on the group’s creative collaboration and esteem building. The series concludes
with an evening show for family and friends.
Classes are held at Wilder Hall in Ben Lomond, CA, the home of
Kreative Kids Preschool Enrichment Program, a co-op which I founded for the Santa Cruz County Parks Department in
1987. (Kreative Kids Preschool continues under the leadership
of Sandy
O’Connell)
Actors in Kreative Kids Theater attend the 2
hour afternoon class without their parent present. The
participating parents assist with simple costuming, scenery and
props needs, and provide snack refreshments for the class.

musical talents, positive energy, and love you share with the
preschoolers, they love you and you will be missed! ♥
I know your CD's will be played in our house. All the

It was wonderful and will be cherished!"
